Will it fit my dog?
Fit is about more than weight: the distance between your pet's front and back legs matters too. The suggested leg spacing is approximately 2.4–11.8 in (6–30 cm). This stand is intended for smaller pets, including many Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Dachshunds, Shih Tzus, small Beagles, and cats, depending on their build.
For larger dogs, this may not be the right product. Not sure? Send us a photo, your pet's weight, and their measurements through our contact form. We'll help you assess the fit. Please confirm the measurements against the supplier's size guide before ordering.
Will my pet be uncomfortable in the hammock?
Your pet's belly rests on the mesh while their legs pass through the openings. When fitted correctly, this helps support the body rather than placing the load on the paws alone.
Introduce the stand gently and check for pressure or discomfort. Stay beside your pet for the entire grooming session, and stop if they appear distressed. Never leave your pet unattended.
Is the stand sturdy?
The stand uses a foldable, X-shaped metal frame with four feet. The product information supplied to us mentions a 15 kg (33 lb) capacity, but this limit has not yet been verified with the manufacturer. Confirm the actual safe load rating before use.
Always place the stand on a level, stable, nonslip surface and fully open all four legs. Check the frame and fastenings before each session.
What if my dog hates baths?
That's one reason pet owners try a grooming stand: easier access to the paws may help make washing and grooming more manageable. However, it cannot guarantee that a nervous dog will stay still or prevent escape.
Be patient during the first two or three sessions. Introduce the stand gradually with treats and short breaks. Follow the familiarization tips in your emailed grooming guide, if provided, and never force your pet to remain in the stand.
Where can I use it?
The listed assembled dimensions are approximately 23.6 × 13.0 × 15.7 in (60 × 33 × 40 cm). Check your tub or shower dimensions before using it in the bathroom.
You may also be able to set it up on a patio or in the yard, provided the surface is flat and stable. Confirm the stand's water resistance and suitability for wet areas with the manufacturer before bathing your pet.
How do I clean and store it?
After each bath, rinse or wipe down the frame and let it dry thoroughly with the legs fully open before folding it for storage. Don't put it away while it is wet.
Clean the mesh with water and mild soap, then let it air-dry completely. Follow any additional care instructions supplied with the product.
